Enchanting! The Magnetic Fields!
Acoustic Guitar by The Magnetic Fields
I went to a concert last night. The Magnetic Fields was and still is one of my favorite bands. I don't follow their records as much as before, I guess I was a big fan then and now I am just a fan. The venue was great and the theater was almost packed. I was very surprised to see so many people came to this. In my mind I always thought that The Magnetic Fields was a small band, only a selective few knew, only the ones who were cool would love. I was dumbstruck how popular they had become.

Well, perhaps very popular only in LA? Dave Jose Cam and I had our seats on the upper level in the theater. It was not the most comfortable or spacious seating. We sat through the opening band, which kind of put me to sleep. When Stephin Merritt and his gang finally appeared, the whole theater cheered and applauded. They played 50% newer material and 50% older songs throughout their set. It was amazing, really brought back a lot of memories.
